ABOUT ME

Since I was young, art has been the core of my life. It’s brought me to great places and has provided me with amazing opportunities. It's offered me a great creative outlet, sense of purpose, and tremendous joy. I enjoy learning techniques and skill sets that assist in discovering new possibilities for what I can do and what I can create. This exploration of knowledge and my appreciation of the power it holds has fueled my pursuit of education and self-taught talent.

I make sure to continue learning while teaching and helping those around me as I am a leader who is driven by empathy, fairness and understanding.

I work best designing for others when I’m problem-solving and aiming towards achieving a larger goal. I find joy in a client's excitement for a project, which in turn fuels my motivation to produce the best work I possibly can.

I have a knack for detail and observing what others don’t notice. Whether it’s the table of contents in a magazine or the bar code on product packaging- it’s all vital information to the viewer. These are a few of the small details I enjoy refining until the final product is complete. Those intricacies build a successful larger picture; no matter the size of the detail, it's always important.

I enjoy creating, refining, and working on a grid structure- be it simple or complex when it comes to layout design. This structure is present throughout my whole design process and is a skill that grows stronger as time goes on. My biggest design strengths are type, layout and balance. Illustration is another strength, be it digital or by hand and is at the core of who I am as an artist and a designer. My illustration skills include hand-drawn line work refined digitally via Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and Procreate, character illustration, icon illustration, minimal vector work, graphic narration and story-boarding, hand-drawn marker caricatures and illustration, and watercolor painting.

I am not afraid to use color. Color is captivating! I adore exploring color palettes and making bold choices through design and illustration. I enjoy creating way-finding graphics and deliverables that are detailed and visually substantial. I enjoy working with and creating brand standards. I am fascinated by how a family of fonts, colors, and styles can represent a mission statement or a concept, and then, through design, be kept cohesive as they’re expanded over a myriad of items and platforms.

I have an extremely strong work ethic. I go above and beyond and work until the goal is reached. I am a designer driven by task and enjoy being a reliable resource. I am a dedicated, driven, quirky individual who loves laughing with those around me while creating something beautiful.
